The Editorialist: “Your professional editorial solution”

The Editorialist is an editorial agency offering an end-to-end solution to produce, distribute and measure professional content, for both B2B and B2C.

Digital magazines, blogs, newsletters, content… To meet the needs of its clients (including 20% of CAC40 companies and some fifty SMEs and startups), The Editorialist relies on a network of journalists and writers specialized in more than 50 industries and topics, working in about ten languages.

To optimize the management of all its projects, the agency needed an editorial management tool to:

  • Internally: track the writing workflow for articles ordered by clients;
  • Externally: let clients follow the progress of their content in real time;

Unsurprisingly, monday.com turned out to be the ideal solution.

Before monday.com

Before discovering monday.com, The Editorialist managed its schedule sometimes with Trello, sometimes with Excel spreadsheets, and occasionally even by hand.

But success and a growing number of orders quickly created the need for more structured editorial management.

Discovering monday.com

To get there, the agency benchmarked existing solutions and tested several, including monday.com, which turned out to match the team’s expectations perfectly.
It was above all its ease of use, judged far superior to the other solutions explored, that convinced the agency to choose monday.com.

In practice, The Editorialist added its network of writers to its monday.com account, organized by their specialization(s) and preferred industry(ies).
This makes it easier and more efficient to match client needs with the writers best qualified to meet them.

“Our clients are very satisfied: monday.com improves our processes and lets us manage every project with full transparency.”

On top of giving staff a global, consolidated view of all production, monday.com lets the agency’s clients, invited as “guests”, see exactly where their projects stand, in other words, how far along each piece of content is.

The “Shareable boards” feature makes it possible to invite people outside the company (clients, freelancers, external consultants, etc.) to one or more “shared” boards, while keeping the information in “private” boards secure (and therefore out of reach for guests).

Solène Collignon, Head of Operations, says: “Our clients are very satisfied: monday.com improves our processes and lets us manage every project with full transparency. Shared boards have become invaluable!” The tool’s highly intuitive interface makes it easy to tell “in progress” projects from “done” tasks at a glance.

Finally, The Editorialist’s teams regularly use the tool to organize internal events.

The verdict

“Synolia’s support was very helpful and allowed us to take advantage of every feature relevant to our business,” says Solène Collignon, adding:
“It’s a solution I would recommend to my network without hesitation!”
