Interflora chooses SugarCRM to manage its resellers

Interflora has been France’s leading flower delivery company since 1946. The brand delivers nearly 2 million bouquets every year through a network of 5,200 artisan florists across France. With its premium positioning and 97% brand awareness, the company keeps growing its network of independent artisan florists. To better manage all of its members, the company turned to Synolia for a CRM project. We supported Interflora in implementing a solution that makes it easier to manage the network’s artisan florists and their supplies.

“Being an Interflora creative florist… means a commitment to craftsmanship and quality of service. Every bouquet and arrangement we deliver is UNIQUE and made with fresh, high-quality flowers so it stays beautiful for longer.”
Gilles Pothier, President, Interflora France

The Interflora project is…

  • A CRM project to centralize information and boost sales efficiency with the network’s 5,200 florists (easier tracking and segmentation)
  • A solution to better manage florists’ supplies and gain efficiency
  • A solution to support the network’s growth
  • A pilot project for a future international rollout

The challenge for Synolia

Clarify business needs and deliver a tool that serves the sales function, supports teams in their day-to-day work, and makes them more effective at managing members.

Our answer?

We kicked off the project in April 2022 with a comprehensive presentation of the Sugar CRM solution to the head of the sales team. We wanted to show him everything the tool could do so he could picture how he would use it. Together, we identified the useful, high-priority features. We then developed a tool close to the standard, with adaptations specific to Interflora’s business model.

Why Sugar?

We recommended Sugar Sell, a scalable SaaS solution, for an approach tailored to Interflora’s needs. For us, it stood out as the most flexible CRM platform and the one best suited to the specifics of managing a member network.

Project stages:

Kick-off • Functional and technical requirements workshops (backlog definition) • Requirements prioritization • Agile implementation • Instance configuration and permissions management • Training on how to use the tool

Project specifics:

  • A module for managing non-member florist accounts.
  • Partner and prospect data centralized in Sugar as read-only (from the internal data warehouse, connected via APIs)
  • Integration with the Akio customer service tool, to view all interactions with contacts (calls, meetings, etc.)
  • Integration with Interflora’s Business Intelligence tool (Power BI)
  • A dedicated module for managing flower orders placed by resellers (rollout planned for V2)

Our Digital eXperience Platform approach for Interflora

Sugar CRM is now an integral part of Interflora’s information system. Thanks to the connections with the data warehouse and the Akio tool (customer service), all data on former, current, and future partners is centralized in the CRM and entered according to the sales teams’ processes.

The CRM project has also gone beyond sales alone. Connected to the partner order portal, a module will soon give the product manager access to each partner’s order history to better manage their supplies.

The results

The CRM has been live since the first quarter of 2023, and Interflora’s teams now benefit from partner information centralized in Sugar (contacts, order history, etc.). All the data the sales and product teams need is now easy to access, helping them become more efficient and relevant in managing partner relationships.
